Laboratory for the Teaching of Sciences

The Laboratory’s mission is to meet the teaching needs, especially the experimental process of teaching and practical training of students at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. The Physics-Chemistry Laboratory, the Computer and Biology Laboratory as well as the Robotics Lab have been developed and operate.

Laboratory for the Research of the Science of Education and Audiovisual Means.

The Laboratory’s mission is to cover the teaching needs of the Department particularly of Education, Psychology, Research, Audiovisual- Media Production and the Practical Training of students in the use of these Media.

Center of Intercultural and Migratory Studies

The Center researches and promotes the field of education and training of the Greek Diaspora especially of the Greeks abroad as well as intercultural pedagogical issues in Greece. It has produced an abundance of educational materials in print and digital form for the teaching of the Greek language and culture abroad.

Laboratory for Advanced Teaching Technologies for Lifelong Learning and Distance Education

The laboratory aims at researching and studying of the fields of lifelong learning and distance education using advanced learning technologies.

Center for Teaching and Research of the History of Education and Teachers’ Profession

Under the auspices of the region of Crete it focuses on the research and study of past school education and the development of the Teaching Profession, during the later period of the Greek history as well as the historical education of future teachers.
