Aikaterini Vasiou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Primary Education at University of Crete. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from University of Thessaly, while as part of an Excellence scholarship she conducted a post-doctoral research in School Psychology and Counseling at University of Western Macedonia. She has participated in an Experimental Study research program at Kapodistrian University of Athens and in Mental Health research programs at University of the Aegean. She has published articles in international and Greek magazines and has made announcements at international and panhellenic psychology conferences and educational conferences. Her research interests include children’s and adolescents’ moral, social and emotional education, students’ motivation in learning and teachers’ motivation at work, and students' and teachers' well-being. She has worked as a teacher of Greek literature in Secondary Schools for 17 years and as a Laboratory Teaching Staff (E.D.I.P.) at University of Western Macedonia for 3 years.
