Aikaterini Vasiou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Crete. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from University of Thessaly, while as part of an Excellence scholarship she conducted post-doctoral research in School Psychology and Counseling at the University of Western Macedonia. She has participated in an Experimental Study research program at Kapodistrian University of Athens and in Mental Health research programs at University of the Aegean. She has published articles in international and Greek magazines and has made announcements at international and panhellenic psychology conferences and educational conferences. Her research interests include personal and interpersonal factors of teaching and learning, social and emotional learning, and students' and teachers' psychological well-being. She has worked as a teacher of Greek literature in Secondary Schools for 17 years and as a Laboratory Teaching Staff (E.D.I.P.) at University of Western Macedonia for 3 years.
