  • Aikaterini Vasiou has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Crete since November 2022, in the field of “Methodological Approaches in Educational Psychology.” She completed her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina and her postgraduate studies at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Thessaly, where she was awarded a PhD in Educational Psychology. As part of an Excellence Scholarship, she conducted postdoctoral research in School Psychology and Counseling at the University of Western Macedonia. She has participated in research projects at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the University of the Aegean. She is the Principal Investigator of a research project funded under the University of Crete Special Account for Research Grants (ELKE) program for the “Support of Early Career Faculty Members.” Her research interests focus on the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative research methods to investigate personal and interpersonal factors in teaching and learning, with a particular emphasis on adjustment and well-being in educational contexts. Prior to her appointment at the University of Crete, she served for 17 years in Secondary Education and for 3 years as a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) at the University of Western Macedonia.
