Dr Dimitrios Deslis holds a PhD in Mathematics Education from the University of Cambridge, UK. The title of his doctoral thesis was: “Lakatos-style proving activity in primary school: A mixed-methods study to explore and support teachers’ mathematical knowledge and views”. He currently teaches at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Crete, Greece, and has previously worked as an Academic Researcher at the University of Oxford, UK.
He holds two master’s degrees: an MPhil in Educational Research from the University of Cambridge, UK and an MA in Science and Mathematics Education from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Primary Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and has worked as a primary school teacher. Additionally, he has extensive experience in non-formal education, having participated in over 25 educational programs across more than 20 countries.
