  • I am a Lecturer in Social and Political Theology at the Department of Primary Education, University of Crete. I studied Theology in Greece at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and, with a scholarship from the Hellenic State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), Philosophy of Religion and Critical Theories in the United Kingdom at the University of Manchester, where I also completed my PhD.

I have taught at the University of Manchester, the University of the Aegean, and in the postgraduate programme in Orthodox Theology at the Hellenic Open University (2006–2020), among others. My research interests focus on the relationship between culture and theology, politics and religion, and gender and religion.

For 22 years I worked as a Religious Education teacher at the Moraitis School, (Athens) and in parallel I have practised privately as a certified psychotherapist accredited by the British Association for Psychotherapy, holding a postgraduate degree in Integrative Psychotherapy.

My most recent book is Έστω μια λέξη. Για τη σχέση λογοτεχνίας και θεολογίας και το μυστήριο της ανάγνωσης (Just One Word: On the Relationship between Literature and Theology and the Mystery of Reading), Armos, 2021.
